Tho polico at Dusseldorf havo been baffled by a series of murders extending over seven months similar to thoso of " Jack tho Ripper," who was tho sensation of London in tho early nineties. )In each caso tho victim has been a woman or a girl, and tho instrument used has usually been a knife. No attempts havo been inado to rob tho victims, so the polico believe tho crimes wcro committed by an insano womanhater. Sinco February there have been 15 attacks and seven victims havo died.
