LYCEUM CLUB DANCE.

Tho first danco to be held by members of tho Lyceum Club since moving into their new premises took place last evening and was a very enjoyable event. A largo number of tho younger members were present with their friends and popular music for dancitig was provided by the Click Clack Orchestra. Tho luncheon room had been cleared for dancing a,nd tho loungo mado an excellent sitting-out place, tho folding doors between the two rooms having been thrown back. In the latter, bowls of azaleas and ixias made attractive decorations and in the card room, where supper was served, vases of Iceland poppies had been arranged. Tho ladies on tho committee were: —Mrs. Verran, who was wearing a period frock of black floral taffeta; Mrs. Stoadman, black georgotto beaded in blue and siivej; Mrs. Hammer, ivory taffeta and not appliqued with gold and silver (lowers;, Mrs. Carl Dickinson, black lace ovor llesh pink georgette; Mrs. Eric Waters, black georgotto; Miss Thelma St. Clair Whyte, leaf green georgette with an overdress of cream net; Miss' Maida Hooker, apple green satin. Among others who were present were: —Mrs. Norman Watson, gold lace frock with an uneven hem; Mrs. J. J. Sullivan, gold lame appliqued with green flowers; Mrs. H. J. Kellilier, orango taffeta with long gold late skirt; Mrs. Sparks (Adelaide), electric blue spotted tulle; Mrs. A. E. Moore, daffodil embossed chenille georgette; Mrs. 11. Richards, jade green beaded georgette; Mrs. Ivan Gardiner, black sequinned georgette; Mrs. J. P. O'Connor, jade green georgette and gold lace; Mrs. K. Raymond, black spotted net (Sver taffeta; Mrs. McArtney, ciel blue and mauve georgetto with pointed draperies; Mrs. Milliken, black georgette and lace; Miss Lorna McGruer, powder blue georgette heavily embroidered with silver beads; Miss Greta Heron, shell pink taffeta; Miss D. T'ancred, lacquer red spotted net over red taffeta; Miss Joyce Porter, powder blue taffeta and rainbow tulle; Nliss Moore, eau de nil beaded georgette; Miss Myra Hart (Cambridge), ciro green laco with an uneven hem. Miss Eileen Gane was in white georgetto beaded in silver; Miss Cwen Cook, apricot taffeta with a petallcd hem; Miss O'Meara, tangerine georgette; Miss D.

Wright, black taffeta with floral trimming; Miss Rona Richardson, capucine ring velvet; Miss Edna Ballantyne, powder blue georgette with a long petallcd skirt; Miss J. Johnson, black* chiffon velvet and silver lame; Miss Elva McDonald, black georgette and tulle; Miss Helen Radcliffo (Wellington), floral georgetto; Miss Isobel Reecu, pastel bluo georgette; Miss Clarice Lowry, cream georgette with silver lame hip bow;.
