LIFE IN WOOL SALES.
TALKING PICTURE MADE. STIMULUS TO BUYERS. Tho full glare of publicity was cast upon tho activities of wool buyers when a talking picture of tho recent Sydney sales was made. Accustomed to tho comparative shadow of tho saleroom, the buyers blinked—figuratively and actually —when tho powerful arc lamps played a strong glare upon them. It was as though tho buyers were being taken to task for their provious inactivity and for tho 35 per cent, rclapso in wool prices, says tho Sydney Morning Herald. But; under stimulus, they responded nobly, and the bidding, which had been rather quiofc during .tho scries, regained that fierceness which has made tho Sydney wool sales famous the world over. I'rcnrh, Russian, Japanese, Gorman and Yorkshire buyers vied with ono another for the choicest lots. Tho cylindrical microphono suspended from the ceiling and the "Hollywood atmosphero" was responsible for the keenest bidding this year. It is proposed to make a talking picture of tho wool industry from the fleeco on tho sheep's back to tiio consumer and tho picture will be shown throughout the world.
