H. Telford, tho lessee of Phar Lap, has /or some time been making overtures for the two-year-old sister to Phar Lap, owned by Mr. J. J. Gatenby, and purchased at tbo last yearling sales at Trentham for 00 guineas. Mr. Gatenby has been absent in Tasmania and this has held up negotiations, but Mr. T. S. Roulston, of Hastings, now «dvise3 that tho salo has been completed at a satisfactory figure.
