THEFT FROM VICARAGE.

TWENTY POUNDS STOLEN.

A sum of nearly £2O was stolen from St. Barnabas' vicarage, Bellvue Road, Mount Eden, on Thursday afternoon whilo the Rev. E. E. Bamford was at tending the Anglican Synod. The money was stolen from Mr. Bamford's study during Mrs. Bamford's absence for a short time during the afternoon. An entry was made through the window, but it appears that the intruder was disturbed upon Mrs. Bamford's return later, for a considerable sum of church money was overlooked.
