TOUR OF DOMINIONS.

LORD BADEN-POWELL. ARRANGING THE ITINERARY. Australian and N.Z. Press Association. LONDON, Oct. 9, Colonel G. Walton, Overseas Scout Commissioner, stated to-day that Sir Alfred Pickford was in conference with Lord Baden-Powell to finally arrange the itinerary of the Chief Scout s tour of Australia and New Zealand. " I had not believed that any man of 73 could take up so enthusiastically this vast tour," he said. "I do not think Australians will ever fully realise the tremendously fino impression the jamboree contingent made. If those 200 Scouts were typical, then ifc is agreed that Australia boasts 100 per cent, youths." Lady Baden-Powell was the first to bo invited to visit tho Dominions. Whereupon tho Chief Scout remarked: " Excellent. I will come as the luggage." Then the Chief was invited. He said ho was most happy to accept. He expects to sail for Australia at the end of January, and to tour from Perth eastward.

Tho hospitality of Australians is worldfamed, and makes the tour appear terrifying, but tho Chief is anticipating the great adventure with boylike thrill. Ho expects to bo absent seven months. Major , Walton is in conference with tho executives, with tho object of closer co-operation in Empire scouting, and in investigating migration and settlement.
