WRESTLING.
THE ALLEY-SINGH CONTEST.
Considerable interest ia beincr taken in the wrestling match to be held at tho Town Hall next Monday night between Tom Alley and Karanian Singh, and the heavy booking gives promise of a packed house. Is either wrestler has been defeated so far in New Zealand, and, as both have defeated the same men, tho result of the coming contest appears to be obscured. Alloy is. a warm favourite with the Auckland public, as he invariably gives a display of lively, scientific, and, above all, clean wrestling. Likewise, Singh has won admiration for his clean displays, and ho has a largo following. Tho only fall that lias been recorded against tho Indian in his four matches stands to tho credit of Farmer Vance, so it will be seen he is a hard man to pin on the mat.
