THE ELSIE WALKER CASE.
Sir,—Tho suggestion made by some of your correspondents that a petition be presented to Parliament asking for the inquest on Elsie Walker to be reopened is a very good one. It is time the whole thing "was cleared up. Someone must start the ball rolling, and I think that the Justices of the Peace Association would bo a very proper body to take it up. Sherlock Holmes.
Sir, —I quite agree with "British Justice" in his letter of the 26th ult., that every just and fair-minded citizen in New Zealand would willingly sign a request to Parliament that ari Act should ho passed at once whereby th«* Elsie Walker cass could be reopened. The public will not let this matter drop until it has been sifted to the very bottom, and the fresh evidence has been heard. Justice.
