STEAMER AGROUND.
HOCHST FURTHER ON REEF. REFLOATING EFFORTS FAIL. Australian and N.Z. Press Association. COLOMBO. Sept. 26. Attempts to refloat the German steamer Hoclist liavo not, been successful. A heavy swell and a strong current have pushed tho vessel further on the reef. Ono thousand tons of cargo have been jettisoned. The crew are working in shifts day and night in an effort to keep the water out of the holds.
