COMMUNITY CAMP SCHEME.
THE HAMILTON ASSOCIATION* [Br TELEGRAPH. —OWN COBEISPOKDENT-J HAMILTON, Friday. The annual meeting-, of the Hamilton Community Camp Association was held this evening, the Mayor, Mr. J, R. Fow, presiding. The annual report stated that the camp site at Okete was used daring the Christinas and Easter holidays by various institutions, including the Y-M.C.A. Girl Guides and the Salvation .Army. In order to reduce the mortgage on the property a queen carnival was held in ApnL Though the objective aimed at was £3OOO the sum of £1125 had been secured. This was sufficient to dear Camp Fergussozr of debt and Icflvc a credit b&lsiicfi. The State Forest Service bad promised a donation of 500 trees and the association decided to plant the trees "next season. ■ --*■ ■ The following officers wfire elected:— Patron, the Goveraor-Geiiral, Sir Charles Fergusson; president, Mr. A. B. Collier } vice-presidents, Messrs. H. Clark, A. G. Sandfort and J. R. Fow; committee, D, D. Wilson, J. E. Tidd, F. Vickery, F. H. Clapham, A, G. Sandford, C. H. Holloway, H. H. Clark, H. P. Cowlesj treasurer, G. Boyes; secretary, G. Hovey.
