16 PAIRS OF STOCKINGS. Customs officers on the Ulster Free State border noticed recently that an increasing number of travellers seemed in need of slimming exercises. A woman so out rivalled everybody else in avoirdupois that the official who asked if she had anything to declare looked at her twice. She was asked to visit tho Customs office. Here she confessed.
