appeal board sittings. Sittings of the War I'ensions Appeal Board will open in Auckland on Monday, and are expected to continue for some weeks. The Auckland Returned Soldiers' Association invites all ex-servicemen who have to appear before the board to communicate with the secretary of the association without delay. In view of the fact that a commission has been set tin to inquire into the operation of the economic pension, unemployment among ex-servicemen and kindred matters, the Returned Soldiers' Association also asks all unemployed returned men, whether fit or wholly or partially disabled, to send in their names and addresses, in order that the association, may be assisted in preparing evidence.
