HOTEL PORTER ARRESTED. Tho disappearance of a boy from his //homo in' Mount Eden on Wednesday afternoon led to tho arrest yesterday morning of a hotel porter, who will bo charged in tho Police Court this morning with a serious offence. # It is stated by the police that the boy ■nnswered an advertisement, for a position for which a wage was offered of £1 a week. As a result lie received a telegram asking him to keep an appointment in the city, for which purpose he left home on Wednesday afternoon. When lie rlid not return on Wednesday night his parents became alarmed, and Ihe police worn informed. About ten o'clock ■on Thursday morning the hoy returned Jiorno. It is alleged that ho had accom- / |>anied a man to a boarding house.
