[by telegraph.—own correspondent.] WHANGAREI, Friday Two successful functions wero hold last evening to welcome the Rev. H. Wallbank, who has come from Tasmania to fill tho pastorate of the Whangarei Congregational Church. Tho Church in New Zealand was represented by the Rov. R. C. f Roberts, of Mount Eden, principal of the Auckland Congregational College. Mr. and Mrs. Wallbank, who have a splendid record in organising difficult dis. tricts, have latterly been homo mission<jrs of-a, wide territory 18. miles to the east o ! Ilobart, •
