Miss Corry Leibrand, a 21-year-old Dutch girl, swam across Lake Geneva a fe>v weeks' ago, after remaining In the water 36 hours. Owing ,to the intense coldness of the water the swim across ; the lake is considered to bo exceptionally difficult."' J ' " ' Miss, Leibrand set out from: Lausanne arid covered a distance of ■ about 37 miles, leaving the water at Geneva. During the crossing sha was fed with milk, fruit and biscuits from/an accompanying boat.
