WOMEN'S INSTITUTE.

OPOTIKI

The monthly meeting of the Opotiki Women's Institute was held in the Farmers' social room, Mrs. F. J. Short presiding. On the conclusion of the ordinary business Miss Hazel Larmer danced with grace an Irish Jig. A very interesting and instructive address on "Appendicitis —its Svmptoms and Treatment'' was given bv Or. Budd. This was followed by Mrs.* Da vies, Mrs. Fox and Mrs. Burret t each giving some ideas upon dressmaking. Mrs. Marsicar.o gave pleasure to her audience with her songs and much laughter was caused by the Roll Call—"My Funniest Joke." Mrs. Burton and Mrs. Dick were hostesses.
