Tho Mayor said tho visitors would be motored over the routo of the proposed Paeroa-Pokeno railway. The Pokeno Chamber of Commerce was offering the use of at least six cars and tho Hauraki Plains County Council would supply some. Twelve Paeroa residents had volunteered the use of their cars. Tho party would be entortained to luncheon at Paoroa. At this function tho Hauraki Plains County Council would co-operato with tho Paeroa Borough Council. That would bo t.ho first time that tho two bodies had acted as joint hosts. Tho voluntary offers ho had received of motor-cars, continued tho Mayor, indicated tho fact that the business people of Paeroa were anxious to act as hosts in a manner in keeping with Paeroa's reputation. «
The chamber of conraerco unanimously resolved to offer special hospitality to tho visitors and plans wore mado in accordanco with this object.
