MISSING FISHERMEN FOUND
ADVENTURE IN ROUGH SEA.
BLOWN OUT TO AN ISLAND.

WAIHI. Tuesday. Advice was received in Waihi this afternoon of the safety of the. party of three men, residents of Mataroa Bay, who set out on Friday afternoon in an open boat on a fishing expedition at .the Bowenlown Heads, and for whose safety fears were entertained yesterday, as the men had not been seen sinco Spnday afternoon. At that time they were some distance off the Waihi Beach, and thero was a strong south-west wind blowing.
The men were Mr. IT. E. Hamlin, schoolmaster, of Mataroa Bay, and two Maori companions, Isaac Hauraki and .Ruatana Tikau, better known as Jack Davies, both young men.
The men lost the rowlocks from the boat »and were consequently unable to control their craft, in the choppy seas. They were blown oat to Mayor Island*, where they sheltered (for two nights. A party of natives from Bowentown set out by launch this morning to search for them and a search was also conducted by the Waihi police. The party was found on Mayor Island.
