PRIZE-GIVING AND DANCE.
Tho annual prize-giving and dance of the North Shoro Rowing Club was held last evening at tho Parish Ilall in Devonport. Tho decorations wero particularly well carried out in tho club colours of blue and white. Tho prizes won during the year wero presented by Mr. E. Aldridgc, the Mayor of Devonport. The Kit Kat Danco Band played popular dance numbers.
■The ladies' committee was as follows: Mrs. T. G. Farquharson, who wore a frock of black sequinned georgetto with gold embroideries; Mrs. Uutland, leaf green lace over satin, with pink satin hip bow; Mrs. Sharpe. blonde laco over flamo satin; Miss C. Porter, mimosa laco frock; Miss 'l.atton,- pink cropo de chine with cream laco overdress; Miss G. Melville, silver lame and platinum taffeta edged with green; Miss Charman, silver and bois de iOse metal laco.
rAmong thoso present were:—Mrs. Olson, who woro a frock of beige fringed georgette; Mrs. McLean, black and figured ring velvet; Miss Bray, figured georgette; Miss M. Bray, primrose taffeta with pink shoulder flower; Miss L. Lord, delphinium hjuo taffeta; Miss T. Lord, delft blue chenille georgette; Miss E. Gill, wfiite satin with diamante trimming; Miss J. Keely, rose pink satin and georgette; Mi3s Olive Stokes, powder bluo georgette; Miss A. Wright, pastel green georgette; Miss H. Gardner, scarlet chiffon velvet; Miss B. D'Authroau, cherry lace over satin; Miss Hill, Indian red ling velvet; Mrs. Eagles, black charineuse; Mrs. Oliver, black chenillo with silver shoulder rose; Mrs. Alison, black ring velvet; Miss Newman, jado green satin; Miss Foster, black and white souplo satin; Miss E. Grecnwell, pink brocaded satin; Miss J. Niall. salmon pink taffeta and silver lace; Miss Nancy Griffin, white embossed satin with bluo
shoulder flower; Miss Caldwell, black taffeta; Miss Hine, silver lame and lavender georgette; Miss J. Entwistle, powder blue taffeta appliqued in pink; Miss Totir.an, silver tissue and bluo georgette; Miss Waft, green georgetto beaded in '•rvstal: Jliss Pirkworth, orange crcpc &atin; Mrs. R. Webb, royal hluo satin.
