LADIES' NIGHT.
Tho annual ladies' night of the L.0.L., No. 14, Otahuhu, was held in tho Public Ilall, Otahuhu. Streamers and flags, togothcr with paper-panelled walls, were used successfully tn a, striking decorative scheme. Dancing, interspersed with musical items, provided an onjoyablo evening. The members of tho local lodgo acted as stewards for tho supper, and tho floor arrangements wero carried out by Messrs. 11. Carr, J. Markwick and W. Kitto. Items worn given by Norman Tate, tho Harmony Fivo (steel guitars) and Mr. C. Firth. A delightful solo step dance was performed by Miss McLaughlan. The dance inusic was supplied by Mrs. F. Andrews' orchestra, and by an ingenius arrangement from gramophone records, wired to loud speakers placed in various parts of the hall. At tho commencement of tho proceedings Mr. H. Carr, on behalf of tho local lodge, extended a hearty welcome to tho many visitors present.
