Moro than 6000 tons of. dairy produce left New Zealand in August, thus making a good start for the new export season. Tho shipments of butter totalled 3206 tons, compared with 1350 tons in August, 3028, an increase of 1856 tons. Cheese shipments totalled 2807 tens, compared with 167 tons in August, 1928. Most of the dairy produce exported last month consisted of July gradings of the butter for the United Kingdom. The position at, tipie of shipment was 73 per cent, consigned and 27 pot' cent,, sold f.o.b. Of the cheese shipped to the same market 76 per cent, was consigned and 24 per cent, sold f.o.b.
