RUNAWAY MOTOR-CAR.

SHOP WINDOW BROKEN. Parked outside tho Lyric Theatre last evening, a motor-car which was left standing on the left side of Symonds Street suddenly commenced to move, and after running a short distance down the road, crossed the pavement and crashed through a large plate-glass window in the millinery shop of Mrs. Ada Chalcroft, just below the theatre.

There were no occupants in the car at the time, and no one was injured. Tho stock in tho shop-window "was not damaged, while no damage was caused to the vehicle.
