A man named Judd, aged 86, who for 20 years "bached" under deplorable conditions at Owaka, in the Catlins district, with sacks for bedding, died last week. Ho had to his credit in a bank £2500. and ho also possessed an interest in a property, bringing his estate to £3OOO. Ho had no relatives in New Zealand, and tho wholo estate will go to a relative in Ontario.
