WEEKLY LUNCHEON HELD, The -weekly luncheon of tho .Auckland Rotary Club was held yesterday, the president, Mr, S. Reid, presiding. Tho speaker was Professor it. Belshaw, professor of economics at tho University College, who gave an address on " Local Body Indebtedness." Roferenco was made to the selection of Professor Belshaw as a delegate to the forthcoming conference of the Institute of Pacific Relations at Japan. Professor Belshaw said tho instituto had much in common with Rotary, as it aimed at Uio futheranco of international understanding and goodwill.

Birthday greetings were extended to Sir Goorgo Few Ids and Mr. 17. D. Campbell. < A selection given by Master Harry learn, of t.he .Westminster Gloo Singers, jwm £mt)y appreciated.
