QUEEN CARNIVAL.
SUCCESS AT OPOTIKI. [BY TELEGRAPH. — OWN CORRESPONDENT.] OPOTIKI. Monday. Tho queen carnival to raise funds for a dental clinic at Qpotiki was concluded on Saturday with a Paddy's market in tho Alhambra Theatre, which was crowded. Tho competing queens were Miss A 7 iolet Moody, representing the town, arid Miss Eleanor Murray, representing the country. Mis 3 Moody was tho successful candidate. The committee started with £l5O as its objective, but the total sum raised was £228. The final figures gave the town queen a majority of 296 votes. The crowning ceremony will take place at an early date.
