FAREWELL EVENING.
An enjoyable evening was spent in the Kara Hall last week, when the residents of Kokopu, WhangMvci, gathered together lo bid farewell to Aliss E. AlcDonald, who has been (caching at Kokopu .school for (ho past 12 months, and has been transferred lo Turua, Thames district. Dancing and games took place, music being nlaved by Miss V. Kokich and Alcssrs. Draper and Tempcrley. After supper Air A Walker expressed the residents regret at Aliss AlcDonald'S departilre, and' presented her with an ebony manicure set and dressing case with hluo fittings.' Mr. Draper also eulogised Miss AlcDonald s nualificat ions and Aliss McDonald I banked tho residents for their usetnl gilts f'iKi kindly sentiments, and the singing of J'oi Sho's a Jolly Good I'ellow" brought tho function to a close.
