PROSPECT OF GREAT WEALTH

Aug. 23. 1/he Daily Express as a result of a transatlantic telephone talk with Processor C'arlylc, manager of the Prince of Wales' E. P. ranch, at Alberta, Canada, gives prominence to the fact that the ranch of 6000 acres lies in the track of a vast, rich oil stream. Borings are slowly creeping up to the borders of the Prince's land and 217 companies are operating in the vicinity. Experts are confident that n strike can be jiiade on the Prince's estate at a depth of 55001't. with a possible yield of £5,000,000 worth of oil a year. Professor Carlyle says the question of the Prince's light to the oil is at present the subject of negotiations with the Canadian Government. lie thinks the Pripcb will be entitled to take out licences.
