Australian and N.Z. Press Association. (Iteceived August 22, 6.15 p.m.) TOKIO, Aug. 22
The Graf Zeppelin was to have started at 4.30 a.m. to-day on her flight to Los Angeles, across the Pacific, but a mishap has delayed her.
As the airship was emerging from the hangar 1 her rear gondola struck the ground. The damage is being repaired and she is expected to start to morrow. She will carry mails for America and Germany. The commander of the Graf Zeppelin, Dr. Eckcncr. and the members of his staff, have received medals and souvenirs galore. The latter include silver cups bearing the Imperial Japanese crest. A banquet was accorded to the party by Cabinet Ministers, and they have also been guests at luncheons and at receptions of a most cordial nature.
