RHINELAND EVACUATION.
INTENTIONS OF BRITAIN.

NO OFFICIAL CONFIRMATION. Australian Press Association —United Service (Received August 00. G. 13 p.m.) BERLIN, Aug. 01. German newspapers (his afternoon givo great prominence to a report alleged to have emanated from British official sources to the effect that tho British War Office has instructed the commander of Britain's troops in tho Ilhinoland to prepare to begin to evacuate tho occupied zones on September 1. British oflicials at Wiesbaden, however, deny having received any such instructions. Also it has been reported that Belgian troops arc to replace the British forces at Wiesbaden. This caused the Mayor of that city to telegraph to too German Foreign Minister, Herr Stresemann, urging him to prevent it. PARLEYS IN PROGRESS. TENTATIVE ARRANGEMENTS. ORDER NOT YET GIVEN. (Received August 00, 9.13 p.m.) Times Cable. LONDON, Aus. 22. The Times says tentative arrangements have been made for the withdrawal of tho British troops from tho P.hinelaud as soon as the. Government can give the order. Conversations are proceeding and it is hoped to begin the withdrawal in September. The Government wishes the evacuation to take place at the earliest moment possible, preferably in a complete form lather than in stages.
