JYOUNG MAN FOUND GUILTY. COMPANIONS ALSO IN COURT. [by TELEGRAPH. —OWN con RESPONDENT.] NEW PLYMOUTH. Thursday. Charged on 13 counts with a variety of offences in South Taranaki, including breaking, entering and theft, receivins stolen goods, and with having in his possession house-breaking tools with intent to commit a crinio, James Mulally, a young man residing at Eltham, was found guilty in the Supremo Court yesterday on five of tho counts. 110 war. remanded hy the. Chief Justice until to-rnorrow for sentence.
Tho charges on which accused was Joufid guilty were those of stealing suits mid overcoats from llie premises of Schneimans, 'Limited, Hawera; of stealing horse-training material from Richard 'Brougli, Donovan Nyhan and James R. Corrigan; anil of attempting to break and'•■enter the billiard room and shop of *L .Macßeagh, at 101111 am. Accused was also charged conjointly Vnth .Samuel Patrick White, and Leonard Michael White with breaking and entering tho shop of Esa Heat,rice Rrower, Jvaponga, and stealing various articles, inchiding dressing sets, cigarette cases and torch batteries, of a total value of £lO.
