LAND FOR GOLF LINKS.
COUNCIL REJECTS OFFER.
An offer of a 90-acros properly at £6O an aero for municipal golf links was reccivcd by tho Auckland City Council last evening from Samuel Yailo and Sons, Limited.
It was stated that tho land was 16 miles south of tho city, and within 10 chains of the main concroto highway and a railway station. On the motion of the Mayor, Mr. G. Baildon, the offer was declined.
