HOCKEY PLAYERS' DANCE.
VISITORS ENTERTAINED.
A complimentary dance was tendered to (lie visiting Australian hockey team by tho committee of the combined Ladies' and Men's Auckland Hockey Associations in the Click Clack Cabaret last evening. Added to tho artistic decorations of the cabaret were festoons of streamers in green and gold, the Australian team's colours, which were looped round the walls above the cubicles, and in the lounge downstairs tho tables were brightened with bowls of snowdrops. The latdst fox trot numbers were played by Clyde Howley's Famous Internalionuls, tho evening passing very enjoyably. Goklshro', t'tel blue taffeta; Miss C. Wood, cyclamen taffeta; Miss Betty Davidson, praline pink georgette; Miss T. Smith, ankle-length frock of Erin green tulle appliqued with taffeta motifs; Miss E. Jeffreys, salmon pink chiffon; Miss A. Whaley, kingfisher blue georgette; .Miss M. Bell, rose pink stencilled georgette; Miss S. Bellam, petunia georgette; Miss Valinai Beaver, jade green georgette with pointed hem; Miss E. Kent, duchess blue, taffeta and lace; Miss Winks, lacquer red georgette; Miss C. Makgill, ankle-length frock of orange satin beaute; Miss M. Richards, blue embossed chenille georgette; Miss M. Diamond, primrose satin; Miss Hilda Heywood, ivory georgette and silver lace; Miss Leatherbarrow, black satin embroidered with rose and silver beads; Miss May Dunn, peach taffeta; Miss Greenbury, sage green shot taffeta; Miss Fohister, ivory satin with long tiered skirt; Miss Patrick, japonica pink chiffon with pointed hem; Miss Pitkethlev, apricot georgette with skirt of tiered tulle; Miss Cameron, black tucked georgette and lace; Miss May White, white crepe do chine with lace skirt; Miss Hart, cyclamen taffeta appliqued with satin flowers; Miss C.wen Ilart, ivory ring velvet appliqued with lacquer red flowers; Miss J. McDonald, silver and \lue embosed lame.
