GRANTS FOR SCHOOLS.
AUCKLAND DISTRICT WORKS
Several grants for new school buildings jirid additions in the Auckland district have been authorised by the Education Department and work will be commenced by'the Auckland Education Board as soon as possible. New school buildings at Ahnroa, Batlr-y, Otewa (Otornhnnga), Pokapu (Bay of Islands) and Whangnmata fCoromaride!) and additions at Morrinsville, Orini (Taupiri), Taheke (Ilokianga), To Kuiti and Woodlands (Opotiki) have been authorised. Authority has also been received for the erection of a manual training school at Whakatane ai:d a teacher's residence at F.dgcrninhc ! Bay of Plenty).
