LATE MR. S. J. AMBURY.

WIDE RANGE OF GIFTS.

METHODIST FUNDS BENEFIT.

A number of bequests to public institutions, especially to those connected with tho Methodist Church, are provided for in the will of the lato Mr. Stephen James Ambury. Mr. Ambury died on July 23, leaving an estate which has been valued for probate purposes at £50,000. Bequests of £250 each are rnnde to Dr. Barnardo's Homes, London, to tho Sailors' Home, Auckland, to tho Salvation Army Children's Home at Ponsonby, and to the Auckland Institute and Museum.

After many private bequests have been provided for, the residue of the estate is to bo divided into 40 parts, somo of which arc to go to individuals and two each to New Zealand Methodist Home Missions, to New Zealand Methodist Foreign Missions, to tho Methodist Theological Training College and the Wesley Training College, and one part each to Dr. Stephenson's Children's Home, London, to the Y.W.C.A. and Y.M.C.A., Auckland, to the Jubilee Institute for tho Blind and to the Mount Albert Orphanage. The remaining parts are to bo divided by the trustees at their discretion among Protestant charitable institutions or objects.
