A DICKENS GUIDE.
The latest addition to the shelves of Dickensinna is "A Dickons Guide, by A. W. Barnes, and published by Jolin Bale, Sods and Danielson, Limited. In an introductory nolo Mr. Barnes says •' each year numbers of admirers come from far-distant countries to pay tribute to the memory of Dickens by visiting those places that were connected with his lifo and works. By means of this book such places may be more easily found and something may bo known of the career of a really great man." The booklet, which is well illustrated, explains how a day may be spent in visiting places of interest at Chatham, Cobtree Hall. Rochester, Stvood, Gad's Hill, Chalk, and Cobham. The trip outlined is for a summer's dav but if the visits to Cobtree Hall and Cobham are omitted, the remaining places can be in one day, even in .mid-winter. Instructions are also given for visiting fifteen places in London, associated with memories of Dickens.
