COMFORT SHIP CAMPAIGN.
OVER £SO RECEIVED. With deep satisfaction I am able to tell the Herald Brigade this week that w« have now icached, and exceeded, our £SO objective for the 1929 Comfort Ship Cam paign. This week's donations bring oin total to £52 lis 7d, a really splendid achievement for our short campaign. In announcing tho closo of the cam paign I want to thank you all, on behalf of Nurse, and of all the poor people yon have helped, for your loyal support and generous donations, without which tho St. John mtisos could not possibly have relieved the burden of need among Auckland's ponr this winter. I am indeed proud to have been tho leader of such an organisatif.il as tho, Hetmi.d Brirrade, and I hope that we shall still continue to work together for ttio relief of suffering and tieecl.
In concluding tins message to the Br' .jade I want to tell you all that our goon Nurse Saunders Jones, head of the St John District Nursing Pervice, is leaving for England very shortly on a holiday trip. She has been working very, very hard among our poor, sick people foi many years, and I am suro you will all join with me in wishing her " bon voyage,' and the happiest of holidays n> the Old Country
