THE BUCKLAND CLUB. [BY TEt.EORAPH. —OWN CORRESPONDENT. J PUKEKOHE. Friday. The Buckland Tennis Club held its annual meeting last evening, the president, Mr. S. C. Schofield, presiding over a good attendance. In a report for the past season tlio secretary, Mr. G. Wilcox, mentioned that the club had been successful in winning the Franklin Lawn Tennis Association's A grade competition. The credit balance had increased from £32 10s to £79 12s 7(1. The election of officers resulted President. Mr. Schofield: vice-presidents, Mrs. Conollv and Mr. A. Bilkey; secretary, Miss Jefferis; treasurer, Mr. Wilcox; executive, Misses Roberts, K. Butcher and Backhurst and Messrs. W. Bilkey, A. Butcher, J. Hill and B. King; selector, Mr. W. Bilkey; delegates to Franklin Association, Messrs. Schofield and W. Bilkey; auditors, Messrs. A. J. Melville and Bilkey.
