AVIATION COMPANY.

DOMINION-WIDE SERVICES.

QUARTER MILLION CAPITAL

THREE MACHINES AT START.

With the object of establishing an aerial passenger and goods service linking up the four centres of the Dominion and Auckland and Rotorua, a company to be called New Zealand Aerial Services, Limited, with a capital of £250,000, has been formed and will shortly be registered.

Already £50.000 of the capital of the company has been underwritten by Dominion Brokers, Limited, and it is proposed to purchase three triple-engined aeroplanes. There will lie regular services between Auckland, Wellington, Christchurch and Dunedin, and a daily service to Rotorua and back from Auckland. It is estimated that the flying-time between Auckland and Wellington will be four hours, and between Auckland and Christchurch, six hours. The Auckland directors are Messrs. J. F. W. Dickson, D. G. Ogilvie, S. J. Harbutt, W. F. Grove and S. I. Crookes, and there will be local directors in the three other centres.

One of the Auckland directors stated last evening that those interested in the company feel that the time is opportune for the establishment of such a service in the Dominion since Australia already has five commercial aviation companies in operation, while in the older countries established services run with the regularity of trains. Most such ventures have proved a financial success, and the fact that the company has already secured sufficient capital to go to allotment is taken to indicate the excellence of the prospects of the scheme. Experts from England arc expected to arrive shortlv.
