NEW BUTTER FACTORY.
TAUPIRI FARMERS' REQUEST. [BY TELEGRAFH. —OWN' COItItESPONDENT. ] HAMILTON, Thursday Over 50 settlers of tho Taupiri district met last evening to discuss the rebuilding of the New Zealand Co-operative Dairy Company s butter factory, recently destroyed by fire at Ngaruawahia Tho chairman, Mr. \V. Young, said that Tau pi ri offered oxcellent facilities for the building of a modern dairy factory. Tho company already held a sito adjoining' the railway station and a plentiful supply of water could be secured. He said that of the 3.608,7001b butterfat supplied to the Ngaruawahia factory last year, 2,235,3251b. had come from the Tan pi i i side of the Waikato River. A resolution that it shoulel lie a recommendation to the, directors ot the Now Zealand Co-operative Dairy Company, Limited, that tho new huttei factory bo erected at Tanpiri was carried unanimously. A deputation consisting of Messrs F R ('alley, G. Walters arid W. Henry was appointed to call upon Mr. C. J. Parlano, manager of the company.
