GLASS-CLEANING MADE EASY.

Glassware is difficult to keep in a really sparkling condition, but tho following hints render the task surprisingly easv:— Tho best method of washing glass is to uso warm, soapy water which has been softened by tho addition of a littlo powdored borax. Remember to rinse tho articles in clean, cold water, nnd to turn them upside down on a tray to drain before drying them well with a linen glass cloth. If a brilliant polish is desired, give a final rub with a chamois leather. A littlo vinegar or laundry blue added to tho rinsing water onco or twice a week will also help to impart a bright and clear appearanco to tho glass. Decanters need never becomo 6tained if they aro rinsed thoroughly with cold water immediately they aro emptied. But if they havo been neglected it is best to treat them in tho following manner:—Half fill tho bottlo with warm wator, add a teaspoonful each of salt and vinegar and a handful of washed tealeaves. Allow this mixture to remain in tho decanter for two or throo hours, shaking occasionally during that time. Then rinse in cold water. Dry tho outside with a soft- cloth, polish with a chamois leather, and place neck downward in a jug to drain.
