According fo the evidence, O'Brien sent his wifo a telegram saying ho wanted to see the children, and later there arrived a letter asking her to bring the children to a certain place. If sho did not_ turn up, the letter added, he would wait for his chanco and murder tho three of them. O'Brien went to the meeting-place and was arrested, and a dagger was found in his pocket. , .
