Yet another overwhelming Triumph for Shell. Advice concerning Motor Races held at Phoenix Park, Dublin, on the twelfth and thirteenth instant, disclose conclusive proof of Shell superiority. All events were for Standard Sports Cars over a distance of 301 miles. The races were held in two classes. The first day's programme was for Cars under 1 500 c.c. capacity, and the second day's programme was for Cars of unlimited capacity. The Grand Prix was awarded for the fastest total time for both days. On the Friday an Alfa Romeo Car, driven by Ivan Owsky, secured first place in all classes at an average speed of 75.02 miles per hour. On the Saturday an Alfa Romeo, also driven by Ivan Owsky, secured first place in all classes and was the winner of the Grand Prix at an average speed of 76.4 miles per hour. Bentley Cars secured second place and third place, whilst fourth, fifth and eighth places were also credited to Bentley models, the sixth place being secured by an Alfa Romeo.
