AUCKLAND UNEMPLOYED.

DECREASED REGISTRATIONS. MORE MEN PLACED IN WORK. A decrease of 77, compared with the previous week, was shown in the number of men registered at the Government Labour Bureau in Auckland on Saturday, when the total number of men on the books was 1075, as against 1152 on the preceding Saturday. The figures for a fortnight ago were 1080.

Of Saturday's total 912 men were classed as fit for heavy work and 163 as suited for light employment. The number of men placed in work during the week was 94, compared with 63 in the previous week, and 76 the week before.
