STORY OF AUTOGRAPHS.
Mr. Arnold Bonnott, while in America, was inundated with requests for his autograph on copies of his books A queue was formed Ono man, having got his book signed, taxied homo, and returned with another Mr. Bennett signed, and tho man won! homo for a third. Mr. Bennett, now a little tired, asked the man his name, and then wrote, " To Mr. Blank, from bis now old friend, Arnold Bennett."
