A RADIO DISASTER.
Atmospherics are troublesome to the listener, but sometimes they are nothing less than tragic to the broadcaster. An appeal on behalf of the Elizabeth Garrett Anderson Hospital, says a London paoer was broadcast by a distinguished speaker, and it was hoped that £4OOO would be sent in response. At least tho hospital expected to get £IOOO. But it happened that atmospherics spoiled tho appeal, and only £2O was recoived.
