Tim Civic League met in the Y.W.C'.A. List e\ening and was prosified over by Ihe president, Mrs. Kenneth Gordon. 'Jlirrc wore present:—Mesdarnes IWathias, Xiroavcr, Woods, 'Wilkinson, Xcnl, TSfcJ.eari, Withcrow and I'irrett. In regard to the letter which had been sent to Ilio Transport l.!oaid asking that morn detailed information as <0 the departure "i buses to the suburbs be posted up on certain hoardings, it- was stated that time-tables were, issued by tiic department and that full information was given at bus termini. Other matters mentioned would be considered. It was decided to send a remit- <0 the -Auckland branch of the National Council ('I Women drawing attention to cases of cruelty to animals and urging that in no circumstances should a fine be considered adequate in such cases. It, was also decided to write to the City Council asking that the rest-room bo open on Sundays as well as on week days. The WTi'tary was also instructed to write drawing the attention of the proper authorities i, ( j] ic danger of trolleys in tile sheets.
