PROTECTION OF WOMEN.

SOCIETY'S ACTIVITIES

The executive committee of the New Zealand Society for tho Protection of Women and Children met on Monday afternoon, the Rev. P. S. Smallficld presiding. The secretary reported that 30 now cases had been dealt with since the last meeting. Of these 24 concerned husbands and wives and three dealt with maintenance. There had been 276 office interviews and 13 cases sent to solicitors. Tho inspector had paid 62 visits and spent four mornings in tho Magistrate's Court. Mrs. <l. D. Bryco was appointed secretary, her duties to commence on July 10.
