The Hon. W. J. Beckett, a member of the Legislative Council of Victoria, and Mrs. Beckett are making the round trip to Honolulu on the Niagara.
Mr. R. A. Laidlaw, general manager of the Farmers' Trading Company, returned by the Niagara yesterday from a visit to Sydney and Melbourne.
Mr. George Wirth, the circus proprietor, and Mrs. Wirth, of Sydney, are passengers by the Niagara for Vancouver. They will spend a holiday in America.
Mr. and Mrs. B. D. Thomas, of Los Angeles, Dr. and Mrs. S. W. Rhind, of Wellington, and Mr. and Mrs. H. Hudson, of Hastings, are at the Hotel Cargen.
Sir Joseph Carnithers, a former Premier of New South Wales, arrived from Sydney by the Niagara yesterday. Ho intends to spend a holiday in the Pacific Islands.
Sir Samuel Hordern, of Sydney, a through passenger on the Niagara. With Lady Hordern and Miss Hordern, he is making a holiday visit to England and the Continent.
Mr. G. F. Mather, of Wellington, Mr. C. ,T. Barry man, of Christcliurch, Mr. G. I). Pattle and JVlr. J. Lynch, of Palmerslon North, and Dr. M. Earl?, of Wanganui, are at the Central Hotel.
