ALLEGED EVIL EFFECTS. OPINION OF SYDNEY CLERGY. (Received Juno 2, 5.5 p.m.) SYDNEY, June 2. At a mooting of city clergy the opinion was expressed that the indiscriminate granting of charitablo relief by the Government and other agencies was under mining character, and producing a body of dependants who were' accustomed to rely upon charitable support.

It was decided to urge the appointment of a Royal Commission to investigate tho matter.
