The annual meeting of the Bay o| Plenty Development League was held ai Rotorua at the - week-end, Jit*. B. C.i Robbins, Mayor of Tauranga, presiding. Mr. T. Jackson, Mayor of Rotorua, said it was three years since the league had met in Rotorua. Ho was pleased to seo that thero was still a community of interest existing. The election of officers resultod: —President, Mr. B. C. Robbins; secretary, Mr., C. 'Clinkard; executive, the Mayors of Rotorua, Opotiki and Whakatane,, and Messrs. C. E. Macmilkm, M.P-, and J.G. Green, chairman of the Tauranga Harbour Board. a , Advice was received from the Minister of Public Works acknowledging tho league's letter urging tlio construction of the railway from Paeroa to Lokeno.
